Northern Lights Tour
A faint glow appears on the horizon. Slowly, soft curtains of color shimmer across the northern sky. The colors bend and weave and slowly begin to fade. The night sky darkens again. You have just witnessed a display of awe-inspiring Aurora Borealis (the Northern Lights). Churchill is one of the best places in Canada to witness the Northern Lights and with this tour you can experience this awesome phenomenon! You can view the Northern Lights from the back deck of a wide-bodied, comfortable Tundra Buggy. During the winter, the buggies are moved to an appropriate area, far from the lights of the community, and park in a safe spot that provides an excellent backdrop for Aurora photos. The buggies are heated and have on-board washroom facilities. This exciting outing is different from any other viewing experience. You will also have the opportunity to glide across the snow-covered tundra on a sled pulled by a team of dogs, and feel the sun on your face and wind in your hair during an interpretive snowshoeing afternoon! This adventure also coincides with the Hudson Bay Quest, an authentic 400 km dogsled race!

Tour Itinerary - 8 days & 7 nights
Day 1 - Winnipeg
Welcome to Winnipeg! Take a taxi to your hotel to check-in. Meet and greet event with other passengers will take place tonight in the hotel's lounge. Overnight - Inn at the Forks
Day 2 - Winnipeg
Today you will visit the Manitoba Museum and Planetarium. Here, you will participate in an introductory photography clinic and receive tips on how to best capture the aurora. You will also take part in an interactive program lead my museum interpreters that illustrates the traditional lifestyles of the Inuit people and view award winning dioramas. Overnight - Inn at the Forks
Day 3 - Winnipeg to
Churchill
Depart Winnipeg in the morning and fly to Churchill. Guests will participate in the tour of the town and area upon arrival and stop for a visit at the Eskimo Museum. This evening, enjoy dinner at the Hudson Bay Quest banquet. Overnight - Tundra Inn
Day 4 - Churchill
Today is a very exciting day! You will head to the starting line of the Hudson Bay Quest, a 400 kilometer dogsled race. You will be able to cheer on the competitors as they start the race. You will then participate in an afternoon dogsledding program. The evening consists of Northern Lights viewing and photographing from the comfort of the Tundra Buggy. Overnight - Tundra Inn
Days 5 & 6 - Churchill
Over the next couple of days, guests will be participating in daily activities such as local Inuit culture and wildlife presentations, snowshoeing program, and extensive nightly northern lights viewings from a Tundra Buggy. Overnights - Tundra Inn
Day 7 - Churchill to
Winnipeg
Today you say goodbye to Churchill and depart on a flight to Winnipeg. Tonight's hotel is conveniently located at the Winnipeg Airport, making your journey home a little easier tomorrow. Overnight - Sheraton Four Points - Winnipeg Airport
Day 8 - Winnipeg/Home
