made right at the store. We will reserve a midday train to Montreal with a
wonderful lunch, as you enjoy the pleasures of VIA Rail's Business Class.
When you arrive, The Fairmont Queen Elizabeth is located just above the rail
station.

service. Montreal’s underground shopping is right under the hotel. But
before the shops entice you, we have a wonderful tour of Montreal that

Train buffs, this is what you have been waiting for! Your train to
Vancouver departs this evening. So enjoy your remaining time in Toronto with
shopping and sightseeing, before arriving at the special check-in area VIA
has for Sleeper Touring Class passengers. You should check-in one hour prior
to departure. Your bedroom is VIA’s “top of the line” accommodations. Your
room is a comfortable two-person living area by day that converts to upper
and lower berths at night. Each bedroom is equipped with a wash stand and
private facilities. Each sleeping car has one shower. As you travel from
Toronto to Vancouver, you will travel through five of Canada’s provinces. As
you travel north in Ontario, you come to realize what a lifeline the train
is for people who live where roads are few, but lakes, rivers and waterways
abound. In Manitoba, you enter a land of forest and lakes. This wealth of
forest and water made Winnipeg, located at the junction of the Red,
Assiniboine and Seine Rivers, the capitol of Canada’s fur trade.
Saskatchewan shows you the unique beauty of the prairie lands and
communities rich in heritage. Alberta’s prairie lands bring you to Edmonton,
home of the West Edmonton Mall. Midway between Edmonton and Jasper, you have
your first view of the Rockies and the promise of what is still to come.
Continue through the Rockies to Vancouver.
