Day 1 –
Arrive in Vancouver
Welcome to
Vancouver. Our choice of the
Fairmont
Hotel Vancouver makes you feel special from the moment you
arrive. Here, in the heart of the city, you are close to shops, museums
and restaurants.

Day 2 –
Vancouver – Full Day Victoria Excursion with Butchart Gardens
This morning,
you depart for delightful Victoria. Your motorcoach will be driven aboard
a modern BC Ferry for a refreshing cruise through the Strait of Georgia to Victoria,
where you will visit the world famous
Butchart Gardens and Victoria's historic waterfront. Your
return to Vancouver is flexible, thus allowing you to spend a very full
day in Victoria.

Day 3 –
Rocky Mountaineer, Vancouver to Kamloops
Today you
will travel aboard
Rocky
Mountaineer from the coastal city of Vancouver to Kamloops,
located in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. Your journey takes
you through the fertile fields of the Fraser River Valley and the Coastal
Mountains, before entering the Fraser Canyon and viewing the raging
turbulence of Hell’s Gate. You follow the Fraser River through beautiful
landscapes, for an overnight stay in
Kamloops.
Breakfast and lunch are served aboard the train.

Day 4 –
Continue Kamloops to Jasper
Your journey
continues eastward into the Canadian Rockies. You will be surrounded by
dramatic scenery as you follow the banks of the North Thompson River
through the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains, before reaching the high peaks
of the Continental Divide. Highlights include: Mount Robson, Pyramid
Falls, and a climb over the Yellowhead Pass into Jasper National Park.
Breakfast and lunch will again be served on the train before ending your
rail journey in the town of
Jasper.
A transfer from the rail station to your hotel has been pre-arranged.

Day 5 –
Jasper
Today during
your “Discover Jasper” tour, you will experience the history and beauty of
the most rugged peaks in the Rockies. Explore the natural attractions of Maligne Lake,
Medicine Lake and Maligne Canyon. Stay alert! You have the
opportunity to see wildlife in their natural environment.

Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge
Day 6 –
Jasper to Lake Louise
Your
reluctance to leave Jasper will pass, as you travel through beautiful
vistas. A stop at the awesome Athabasca Glacier for an
Ice Explorer
ride is highly recommended. Only when you see the view from the
Fairmont
Chateau Lake Louise can you understand why people say, “You
have to see it, to believe it.”

Day 7 – Lake
Louise to Banff
Your morning
is at leisure to enjoy the beauty of
Lake Louise
and the elegant Chateau. If you are feeling adventurous, you may want to
hike to the tea house, paddle a canoe on the lake, horseback through the
mountains or explore the area on bike. An afternoon transfer has been
arranged to
Banff.

Day 8 – Banff
Bring your
camera, as your “Discover Banff” tour takes you along Tunnel Mountain
Drive for a great view of Banff. Visit the
Cave & Basin National Historic Site and take a gondola ride to
the top of Sulphur Mountain.

Fairmont Banff Springs
Day 9 –
Transfer to Banff to Calgary
Bid
farewell to the beautiful Canadian Rockies, with a promise to return very
soon. A transfer from Banff to the airport has been included with your
documents.
