DAY 1 – ARRIVE TORONTO

Included in your package is transportation from the airport to your hotel.  The Fairmont Royal York puts you in the heart of Toronto and across the street from the train station.

DAY 2 – TORONTO, ONTARIO

There is so much to see and do in Toronto!  Your hop on/hop off tour of this vibrant city will take you to all of the highlights of the city.  This 2 hour loop allows you to stop and visit the places YOU want to, such as: CN Tower, Hockey Hall of Fame, Toronto’s Harbourfront, Fort York, St. Lawrence Market, the entertainment district, Royal Ontario Museum, Maple Leaf Gardens, Casa Loma, Bata Shoe Museum, Eaton Centre, and the Village of Yorkville.

DAY 3 – TORONTO to OTTAWA

The VIA Rail station is across the street from the hotel. You will arrive into Ottawa in about 4.5 hours.  It is a short taxi ride to the Fairmont Chateau Laurier.  The Fairmont Chateau Laurier is the perfect place to stay with its proximity to places of interest, restaurants, and shopping.

DAY 4 – OTTAWA

Ottawa, the capitol of Canada, has many museums and governmental buildings.  Your hop on/off tour will show off the main points of interest allowing you to stop at the attractions you desire to explore in depth.  The hour and a half loop allows you to hop on and off and stay as long as you like at places of interest that include: National Archives, Canadian War Museum, Casino du Lac Leamy, Rideau Hall, RCMP Stables, Canadian Aviation Museum, National Gallery of Canada, Royal Canadian Mint, Notre Dame Basilica, Byward Market, Dows Lake, Canadian Museum of Nature, and Elgin Street restaurants.

DAY 5 – OTTAWA to MONTREAL, QUEBEC

The train ride to Montreal is just under 2 hours.  The station in Montreal is beneath the  Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel.  There are a multitude of shops and restaurants to be found in the underground as well as street level.

DAY 6 – MONTREAL

The Fairmont Queen Elizabeth is centrally everything in Montreal.  A city highlight tour has been confirmed for you to enjoy.  The hop on and off tour takes 2 hours to complete the loop.  There are 10 stops where you can explore the various points of interest: Notre Dame Basilica, Chinatown, Old Port of Montreal, Montreal Science Center, Montreal Casino, St. Catherine Street, St. Joseph’s Oratory, Mount Royal Park, Crescent Street, and Dorchester Square.

DAY 7- MARITIME & NEW ENGLAND CRUISE

You have most of the day to enjoy Montreal as your cruise departs at 5:00pm.  A short taxi ride to the pier will be necessary.  The staff of the Maasdam will make you feel like a welcomed guest the moment you board the ship.

DAY 7 – QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC

Bonjour! Bienvenue to Quebec City!  Quebec City is the most charming city in North America.   Quaint streets, vendors and cafes are part of Quebec City’s charm.

DAY 8 – SCENIC CRUISING THE St. LAWRENCE

Sit back and enjoy the lovely Quebec countryside.   Chances are good to see whales along this route.  There will be many activities offered onboard during this portion of the cruise as well.

DAY 9 – CHARLOTTETOWN, PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND

Charlottetown is the birthplace of Canada and home to Anne of Green Gables.  Confederation Hall details Canada’s history as a nation and is close to the pier as are many shops and boutiques.

DAY 10 – SYNDEY, NOVA SCOTIA

Sydney is a mainstay in the Cape Breton region boasting several buildings and landmarks from as far back as 1786.  The walk along the Oceanfront Esplanade has numerous plaques and statues commemorating Sydney’s rich cultural heritage.  Holland American offers selected shore excursions, check with the tour desk for more information.

DAY 11 – HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA

Discover the places and people that make Halifax one of the most captivating cities in North America.  You will have choices for shore excursions

DAY 12 - BAR HARBOR, MAINE

The New England costal town of Bar Harbor is tucked into a cove in the shade of Acadia National Park.  Bike rides, kayaking, lobster bakes, and taffy are some of the tempting delights of this lovely port.

DAY 13 – BOSTON, MASSACHUSETS

After disembarking the ship, you have the balance of the day and night to enjoy one of America’s most historic cities, Boston. Your overnight stay will be at the Fairmont Copley Plaza.

DAY 14 – BOSTON/HOME

Transportation to the Boston airport is included in your package.
