This luxurious 3 hour, narrated ride past mountains, towns, and waterfalls
is fascinating. Vancouver is a bustling city bursting at the seams. It has
everything! Excellent shopping, delicious restaurants, and plenty of
exciting "must see and do" attractions. Your travel between Vancouver and

Gardens. A half-day rail trip up to Nanaimo is the perfect way to see some
of the coastline and small towns of Vancouver Island. Spend a little time
in downtown Nanaimo and perhaps take a boat over to the Dinghy Dock for
lunch, a truly unique place to visit. Finally, a seaplane will take you
from Nanaimo to the sea terminal in Vancouver at the International Airport.
You will be transferred to the main terminal, where the Fairmont Vancouver

Day 8 –
VICTORIA/NANAIMO
One of the best
ways to see Vancouver Island’s beautiful coastline is by train. This
morning we have arranged for you to take the train from Victoria to
Nanaimo.
The train travels along the coast, showing off Vancouver Island’s lovely
seascapes, passing through charming little towns along the way. We have
reserved your ticket to Nanaimo.
You will have
time to walk around the city prior to your seaplane departure to Vancouver.
Check your luggage with Harbour Air first, and the next 4 hours you are free
to explore Nanaimo. One suggestion is to have lunch on Protection Island at
the Dinghy Dock Marine Pub and Bistro. A small, enclosed boat takes you
there and back. Lovely views of Nanaimo and delicious seafood are the charm
of this unique restaurant. Here’s an important note: Try a delicious and
famous Nanaimo Bar! A mid-afternoon flight on Harbour Air’s seaplane will
take you back to Vancouver. It takes about 30 minutes and it is an awesome
experience. You will land at the sea terminal near the international
airport and be transferred to the main terminal where the
Fairmont
Vancouver Airport Hotel is located. This is a magnificent
